Within the Western New York region, there is a shortage of leaders in the public and private sectors. The Levesque Institute feels a civic responsibility to recruit and train leaders to help fill voids in community organizations, not-for-profit agencies, and the overall region.
Without leadership projects founder and efforts at renewal are frustrated. The Levesque Institute prepares students, faculty and community stakeholders to participate in and contribute to the collaboratively developed initiatives related to the Institute's four "pillars": Early Childhood, Community Outreach, Health & Wellness and Housing.
Our leadership model is informed by the Catholic and Vincentian character of the University as expressed in its core values.
Because the Institute embraces a collective impact model of social transformation, to lead well is to also understand the nature of evaluation for IMPACT and to promote a data-driven institutional culture.
